Old Testament Law for Christians: Original Context and Enduring Applications
Roy Gane
The Old Testament law is foundational for our understanding of the Bible, but for many it remains some of the Old Testament's most foreign and exotic material. This book by a leading evangelical expert in biblical law helps readers understand Old Testament law, how it functioned in the Old Testament, and how it is (and is not) instructive for contemporary Christians. The author explicates the often confusing legal system of ancient Israel, differentiates between time-bound cultural aspects of Israelite law and universally applicable aspects of the divine value system, and shows the ethical relevance of Old Testament law for Christians today.

Adventist Authority Wars, Ordination, and the Roman Catholic Temptation
George R. Knight
Known for their provocative approach, George Knight's books have a wide readership around the world. Adventist Authority Wars, Ordination, and the Roman Catholic Temptation, following his usual style, raises denominational issues that many would like to keep buried. He not only raises the issues but points to possible solutions.
Here are a few issues you will want to watch for:
- Why did the earliest Adventists fear organized denominations?
- Why did the General Conference not want union conferences?
- Where did the Roman Catholic Church begin to go wrong?
- In what ways is Adventism in danger of following the same path?
- What is the fuss if pastoral ordination is not even a biblical topic?
- How have some sincere Adventists inadvertently demonstrated that Ellen White is a false prophet?
- What interpretive breakthrough allowed James and Ellen White to move beyond explicit Bible teaching on organizational issues?
George K. Knight is a retired professor of Church History at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary, Andrews University, where he taught for 30 years. Prior to that he served the church as a pastor, elementary and secondary teacher, and school administrator. He has written and edited nearly 100 books in such fields as Adventist history, Ellen White studies, philosophy of education, and biblical studies. His most recent titles are Gospels in Conflict: Paul's Letter to the Galatians and Romans: Salvation for "All," the companion books for the Sabbath School lessons for the last two quarters of 2017.

500 Years of Protest and Liberty: Martin Luther to Modern Civil Rights
Nicholas Miller
When Martin Luther King, Jr., marched on Selma, wrote a defense of civil disobedience from a Jail in Birmingham, and proclaimed his dream of racial equality on the steps of the Lincoln memorial, was he acting in the tradition of his namesake, the 16th century Protestant reformer Martin Luther? Were their connections to the unfolding stream of Protestant history merely historical accidents? Were they both just responding to the universal human resolve to stand for conviction and truth?
To ask the question more broadly, did the Protestant Reformation play any positive role in the development of human rights in the west?
The 500th anniversary of the publication of Martin Luther’s 95 Theses in 1517 is a perfect time to reflect on these questions. 500 Years of Protest and Liberty traces a direct line from Martin Luther’s powerful ideas about the equality of persons before God to more current debates about equal opportunity and the fundamental rights of humanity. Along the way, it asks tough questions about where the protestant church is headed today.
Most important, 500 Years of Protest and Liberty is a reminder that Martin Luther’s powerful ideas, which shaped our thinking as Christians today, call us back to the fundamental principles of our Christianity.

El Camino de la Salvación: Los Cinco Principios de la Reforma
Ricardo Norton
"Five centuries ago, when the bodies of men belonged to the king and their souls to the church, there were resounding libertarian voices whose echoes remain: the voice of the reformers. They proclaimed the ancient truths of the Bible, above all, five postulates that came to be known as "the five alone": saved only by grace, only by means of faith, only by the sacrifice of Christ, belief in Scripture alone, and the glory be only to God.
Soon, the Bible was being read by the people, and its benefits were incalculable. The nations where these postulates were accepted knew freedom and progress.
In the short book, with ownership and simplicity, Dr. Ricardo Norton develops these concepts and puts these benefits within the reach of his readers."

Genesis
Jacques B. Doukhan
The book of Genesis has been called “the most important book ever written.” As the first book of the Bible, it not only contains or anticipates all the biblical truths, it is also the book that, more than any other biblical book, has impacted the whole of Scripture, and theology at large. Without the book of Genesis, the Bible would be incomprehensible.
According to author Jacques Doukhan, DHL, ThD, “The book of Genesis is…the ideal place to start our study, not only because it will help us understand our origins and destination, but also because it teaches us how to engage with and reach out to others. In the process we will be surprised by a God of love and mercy, whose first revelation is reported in the book of Genesis.” (Publisher web site)

Četiri čimbenika crkvenog rasta
S. Joseph Kidder

Moving Your Church: Becoming a Spirit-filled Community
S. Joseph Kidder
When did you last invite someone to attend church?
Research reveals that only 2 percent of members invite an unchurched person to church in a given year. That means 98 percent of churchgoers never invite a seeker to church.
If your church were to disappear, would the members of your community miss it?
Seventy-five percent of the Seventh-day Adventist church members in North America who were asked this question responded, "They don't even know we are here." That's what happens when members view evangelism as something only pastors and professional evangelists do. Only when the members believe evangelism to be a way of life does the church begin to flourish.
Moving Your Church was written to encourage and equip members and leaders to successfully carry out the vision and mission of Christ in their local community. Dr. Kidder offers us this encouragement:
"Through the power of the Spirit, ordinary people like you and me can do extraordinary things for God." (publisher web site)

TRANSFORMACAO RADICAL: EM BUSCA DO EVANGELHO INTEGRAL
Wagner Kuhn

Canonical Theology: The Biblical Canon, Sola Scritura, and Theological Method
John Peckham
What are the roles of canon and community in the understanding and articulation of Christian doctrine? Should the church be the doctrinal arbiter in the twenty-first century? In Canonical Theology John Peckham tackles this complex, ongoing discussion by shedding light on issues surrounding the biblical canon and the role of the community for theology and practice.
Peckham examines the nature of the biblical canon, the proper relationship of Scripture and tradition, and the interpretation and application of Scripture for theology. He lays out a compelling canonical approach to systematic theology — including an explanation of his method, a step-by-step account of how to practice it, and an example of what theology derived from this canonical approach looks like.(Publisher Website)
