Abstract
This session will focus on the principles and guidelines of the mentoring program at Andrews University. The presence of all faculty mentors and new faculty at Andrews University is requested.
Biography
Anneris is associate professor of curriculum and instruction. She teaches undergraduate courses in the teacher preparation program and graduate courses in the curriculum and instruction program. Anneris was recently appointed director of the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence. Her scholarly work focuses on the improvement of K–12 Adventist schools, student perceptions of pedagogical strategies, and the effectiveness of professional development as emergent practices in small higher education institutions.
Janet Ledesma, PHD., is the Associate Dean in the School of Education, Educational Leadership Coordinator, Professor in the Educational Leadership Department, and currently serves as the Chair of the Faculty Senate at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Dr. Ledesma served as an Adventist school principal for over 28 years in all types of schools; preschool, elementary, junior academy, and boarding academy. She has a burning desire to serve Adventist school principals through mentoring and by providing resources such as developing principal webinars. Her publications focus on the principalship, resilience, and spiritual leadership. As a servant leader, she enjoys helping others reach their highest potential. One of her greatest joys is spending time with her husband of 27 years and her two young adult children.
