Acknowledgments

The purpose of this study is to examine the reading journey of adults and how those adults perceive their impact on their children’s reading journey; through the perception of reading with a parent, reading with a teacher, and reading independently. The two research questions that will be answered in this study are: How do adults perceive their reading experiences in the past (specifically ages 6 years old - 14 years old)? How do adults perceive their experiences in reading impacting their child's reading? From those two research questions, information will be gathered and analyzed which will hopefully uncover the answer to the following question. What is the relationship between how adults perceive their own reading experiences and how they perceive the impact on their children’s reading experiences?
