Proposal for Presentation

Pinocchio, one of the world’s best sellers, is the third most translated book after the Bible. This presentation will look at Collodi’s masterpiece and its multiple literary and film adaptations. We will observe how each rewriting informs the author´s own intentions and personal message. Special attention will be given to Del Toro’s Pinocchio and the notion of disobedience as civil engagement.
