Proposal for Presentation

There is broad consensus among stakeholders that Adventist education in Martinique is at a crossroads. While pre-K-12 schools are owned and operated by the church, they receive some form of government subsidy. Five-year enrollment trends indicate high non-S.D.A student enrollment, accounting for 60% in one secondary school. Approximately a third of teachers at the secondary level are non-S.D.As. The proposed study will explore five broad areas which have been identified as priority areas, and will identify and recommend policies and strategies which aim to strenthen the education system as a whole, and maintian its unique identity and mission.
