Proposal for Presentation

For elementary and middle school students, designing STEM projects is fun and challenging at the same time. This session describes how a science unit on Alternative Energy was transformed by a STEM project that involved students in applying skills from science, math, social studies, and language arts. Other STEM projects with edible vehicles, recycled animal models, robots, animation, and programming captured students' imaginations and got them excited about using math and science.
