Abstract
In an age of instant messaging, blogs, and e-mail, students encounter a bewildering array of social myths, rumors, and misinformation. This presentation will describe the nature of misinformation and discuss teaching techniques that can be used to help students critically evaluate the source, content, and value base of the information.
