Abstract
"The Shrine Model was uncovered in the 2000 season of excavations at Tall al-`Umayri, Jordan, in Field H under the supervision of Dave Berge. It dates to the late Iron I period and has been reconstructed at Walla Walla College. Hopefully more pieces will surface during the 2002 excavations. Preliminary comparisons with discoveries elsewhere reveal similar shrine models, some with pilasters flanking the opening, some even with figurines attached. However, we are still searching for such figurines with apparently male and female characteristics. "
