Abstract

Como la mujer samaritana junto al pozo de Jacob, muchos cristianos en el siglo XXI siguren preguntándole a Dios cuál es el lugar, el estilo, las formas o los intrumentos correctos para adorar. ¿Tiene la Palabra de Dios una lista de lugares, estilos, formas o insturmentos correctos para la adoración? ¿Guarda Dios silencio ante un tema tan importante? ¿Cuáles son las respuestas que encontramos en la Biblia? Un grupo de cristianos profesionales y comprometidos con Dios, expertos en el camp de la música, la teología, el ministerio pastoral, la medicina, la psicología y la historia de la iglesia han aceptado el desafío de escribir En espíritu y en verdad: un libro que arroja luz sobre el tema de la música y la adoración actual en la Iglesia Adventisa del Séptimo Día. Ante nuestras preguntas, la preocupación de Jesús sigue siendo: "Más la hora viene, y ahora es, cuando los verdaderos adoradores adorarán al Padre en espíritu y en verdad; porque también el Padre tales adoradores busca que le adoren" (Juan 4:23)

As the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well, many Christians in the 21st century ... ask God what is the place, style, forms or the correct instruments for worship. Does the word of God list places, styles, forms, or correct instrument for worship? Is God silent before such an important issue? What are the answers found in the Bible? A group of Christians committed to God, and professional experts in the camp of music, theology, pastoral ministry, medicine, psychology and the history of the Church have accepted the challenge of writing "In Spirit and In Truth": a book that sheds light on the subject of music and current worship in the 7th-day Adventist Church. To our questions, the concern of Jesus remains:"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." (John 4:23
