Abstract
In August 2023, the JWL launched its OER grant program and awarded small grants of $2500 and $1500 to encourage faculty to create, adopt, and adapt Open Educational Resources (OER) to help reduce student textbook costs, include students in the creation of their learning materials, and enhance the students’ learning experience and promote access to knowledge. This presentation illustrates how the grants were used to create music laboratory materials and a home-grown medical laboratory information management system for medical laboratory science.
