Call for Proposals

Dear colleagues,

The Faculty Institute Planning committee carefully reviews faculty feedback and makes adjustments and improvements based on it. One theme we identified from the 2022 Institute feedback is a desire for more faculty to be involved in planning and presenting. In that spirit, we are inviting faculty and staff to submit proposals for breakout sessions for the 2023 Institute.

A successful proposal will appeal to faculty from across the university with a relevant, highly interactive 75-minute session related to excellent teaching or another aspect of our professional lives; typically, such proposals will include a number of presenters from multiple departments and will draw upon the presenters’ expertise while engaging participants in practical training and discussion. You can also propose a 75-minute common interest group conversation which includes informal collaboration and networking around a select topic without a formal presentation.

The Faculty Institute theme is Moving Forward Together: Collaborating for the Future. Please align your proposal with this theme where possible or appropriate.

Submit your 50-75-word proposal to Digital Commons by Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Do not hesitate to reach out to a member of the Faculty Institute Planning Committee (listed below) to brainstorm proposals or for informal feedback.

With great appreciation for your engagement,

Christon Arthur, christon@andrews.edu

Anthony Bosman, bosman@andrews.edu
