Course Design with Equity and Inclusion Principles

Abstract

This session will introduce course design frameworks that are based on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) principles. It will also provide tools for those seeking specific diversity and inclusion knowledge that will better enable us and our students to “change the world” by creating more ethical pedagogical practices. Faculty attending this session will be able to redesign or revise a course based on these principles. Faculty will also be able to connect with peers who have similar interests in best practices in using DEI principles and to learn from one another. Please bring a syllabus to this workshop and consider joining us for the afternoon session on anti-racist pedagogies, which is an extension of this session.
