Biography
Dr. Alayne Thorpe has dedicated her efforts to evaluate and improve education. She has served in varying roles from a high school teacher to Dean of the College of Education & International Services at Andrews University. She has served in advancing education through input into curriculum, distance education, and accreditation. Her commitment to excellence and accessibility has impacted many students, faculty, and institutions nationally and internationally.
Renato Mejia is originally from Venezuela and with Colombian roots. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Carabobo (Venezuela) and MBA from Andrews University. Prior to working at Andrews University, Renato was employed by Real Estate Managers in Charlotte NC, Consorcio Unikma in Colombia, and ALBECA in Venezuela. He has worked for the Enrollment Office at Andrews for over five years both as a graduate student and as a staff member. Currently, he serves both undergrad and graduate levels as a Marketing Specialist. Renato is a results-oriented higher education professional who is passionate about innovation and continuous improvement.
Jillian Panigot is the Director of University Admissions. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University (BS), currently pursuing a Masters in English from Andrews University. She worked in the department of Physical Therapy before moving to Graduate Enrollment Management, and was promoted to her current position in January of 2019. Prior to working at Andrews University, she was employed by Whirlpool Corporation in Benton Harbor, and by IBM in Paris, France. Jillian aspires to be President of the United States.
Injae (Peter) Son is a Graduate Enrollment Coordinator at Andrews University. He received a BA Theology from Sahmyook University and M.Div. and MSCID from Andrews University. He is currently pursuing an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Evaluation (IDPE) at Western Michigan University. Before working for Andrews, he has experience working in the field of philanthropy and youth and young adult ministry. He is interested in social research and the ministry for the new generation.
