Abstract
Grading is an important part of teaching as it provides students with a measurement of performance. This interactive workshop will highlight how grades can help improve academic performance through the effective use of the Gradebook feature in LearningHub. Learn how to set up weight and or points to receive aggregated data and how to determine the best option between categories and item selection. This hands-on workshop will have adequate just-in-time knowledge for the start of the fall semester.
Biography
Janine Lim currently serves as Associate Dean for Online Higher Education in the School of Distance Education and International Partnerships at Andrews University. She and her team support over 200 online courses, provide training for faculty teaching online, and work with the campus infrastructure support of online learning. In addition, Janine is responsible for the faculty and courses of the Consortium of Adventist Colleges and Universities. Janine has served on the board of the United States Distance Learning Association since April 2015. Prior to this position, Janine served as Instructional Technology Consultant for Berrien RESA for 14 years, where among other activities; she served on a team of statewide Michigan educational technology trainers. Janine has taught 15 unique graduate level educational technology classes online numerous times over the past almost 20 years, with some classes attracting participants from all over the world.
