Abstract

In our highly visual society, video is useful addition to a variety of learning contexts. This interactive workshop will highlight ways to create video using your laptop or cellphone, and how to use that within LearningHub for assignments, quiz questions, content, student projects, and more. This hands-on workshop will provide you the skills to get started using Panopto. Additional video tools will be reviewed, and the majority of the workshop time will be spent on Panopto.

Biography

Janine Lim currently serves as Associate Dean for Online Higher Education in the School of Distance Education and International Partnerships at Andrews University. She and her team support over 200 online courses, provide training for faculty teaching online, and work with the campus infrastructure support of online learning. In addition, Janine is responsible for the faculty and courses of the Consortium of Adventist Colleges and Universities. Janine has served on the board of the United States Distance Learning Association since April 2015. Prior to this position, Janine served as Instructional Technology Consultant for Berrien RESA for 14 years, where among other activities; she served on a team of statewide Michigan educational technology trainers. Janine has taught 15 unique graduate level educational technology classes online numerous times over the past almost 20 years, with some classes attracting participants from all over the world.
