Proposal for Presentation
This presentation explores the move from traditional teaching to a more holistic approach to teaching World Religions in the context of healthcare professions. Drawing on Christian Smith's research, it presents a vision of teaching World Religions as a way of life to promote human flourishing and well-being. A four-dimensional framework is proposed, with history, philosophy, practice, and healthcare. Practical advice is given on how to implement this vision. Finally, this presentation will provide a detailed breakdown of reverse-engineering the framework and utilizing questions of flourishing to teach religion effectively.
