Proposal for Presentation
In this talk, Dr. Corredera will discuss the philosophical underpinnings of her diversity and inclusion pedagogy. This calling was not always obvious to her, however. As such, she will trace her path toward her pedagogical purpose, outline the philosophical frameworks that drive her pedagogical commitments, and discuss specific methods for approaching diversity and inclusion in the classroom across disciplines and types of courses. Rather than a rigid “how to,” this presentation is a conversation where her journey to, and successes and failures engaging with, diversity and inclusion can provide useful tools for others hoping to undertake the same calling, one she believes, to which all are called
