Proposal for Presentation
Doodling as a means of expression and learning is replaced early with artificial, prescriptive marks (letters and numbers) and reduces students' natural inclination to explore, solve, and process their ideas. When adults are asked to express themselves visually, they often remark that they "draw like a 5 year old." That is the age when most stop using doodling as a means of learning. In this session, channel your inner child and learn the use of simple lines to develop a visual vocabulary. Doodling is a great strategy to process & express thoughts, ideas, and emotions. Your ability may surprise you. (Bring your iPad/Pencil or Paper/Pen)
