Proposal for Presentation

This paper will present and evaluate different practices used for synchronous online teaching. I will focus on strategies that promote student engagement before, during, and after lectures. The goal is to facilitate active learning to develop students' skills. The data used for this research is based on personal experiences teaching graduate courses in the development and humanitarian fields. It is easier to engage students when the linkage between activity and learning is more precise and practical.
