Proposal for Presentation
Educators are often so focused on taking care of their students that they fail to care for, nourish and replenish themselves in order to mitigate the high-stress levels associated with their profession. In addressing this grave concern, self-care should become an ethical imperative for all educators. This presentation will equip educators with the requisite skill-set to care for themselves and prevent burnout. Teachers who practice self-compassion are undoubtedly more successful in constructing compassionate, conscientious learning communities for their students.
