Proposal for Presentation

Change is constant, and in a world where new developments are made rapidly, how do we go about preparing students to thrive in an environment that progresses so quickly? The 21st-century skills movement is gaining traction for its’ philosophy of teaching students the necessary skills, computer literacy being one of many, needed to succeed in today’s world. On the other hand, there are critics of the movement that question whether it is wise to do away with older methods altogether and seem to struggle to come up with a consensus as to what these ‘necessary skills’ should be. This poster will discuss the pros and cons of implementing 21st-century skills in classrooms.
