Proposal for Presentation
The value of standardized testing has been widely questioned in recent years, especially thanks in part to the Opt Out movement which swept across social media. Opponents argue that standardized testing reduces the amount of time students have for regular classroom learning and has an overall negative impact on the growth and development of both teachers and students. Proponents of testing point out the invaluable data gained and its use in improving public education. This poster will examine both sides of the question of whether or not students should be allowed to opt out of standardized testing.
