Proposal for Presentation
This presentation will highlight the unique learning paradigm of forest school as modeled in the European Forest School movement and its effect on creating a community of learning, as well as the K-8 forest school that currently operates here in the Berrien Springs community. The principles and philosophy of forest school and the teaching practices and experiences of the local forest school as well as the advantages of this type of learning will be presented drawing from teaching, observations, and research.
