Proposal for Presentation

This keynote will address how being a female professor of homiletics teaching and preaching to men and women from the Seventh-day Adventist world church is impacting the discourse on women in ministry.

Acknowledgments

Dr. Hyveth Williams, serves as Professor and Director of Homiletics as well as Interim Seminary Chaplain, Pastor and prolific author who is the first female Senior Pastor in the Seventh-day Adventist denomination. On May 1, 2016, she was recognized by Andrews University with the annual JN Andrews award for excellence in teaching and February 7, 2017, was the first female professor, in the thirteen-year existence of this award, to receive the SDATS Daniel Augsburger Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Williams has authored and published several books, one last month entitled Nothing But the Best: A Guide to Preaching Powerful Sermons.
