Proposal for Presentation
Given the increasingly diverse classrooms educators are entering, they must be well-equipped with the tools to manage intercultural conflict, identify and utilize inclusive language, and hone their teaching craft with a sensitivity to learners from all backgrounds and experiences. Emphasis will be given to learning the strategies needed for effective, inclusive teaching in diverse settings and giving special consideration to conversations around religion, gender, orientation, ability, and race/culture. Time will be given to dialogue about participant’s individual questions and concerns in their own classrooms and learn from peer experiences.
