There is an increase in students with intellectual disabilities who desire to attend institutes of higher education. Often these students have received adequate accommodations, modifications, and special services throughout their K-12 experience which contributed to their academic achievement. This presentation discusses the best practices higher education educators can implement in order to increase the engagement and success of students with intellectual disabilities.
