Proposal for Presentation
The human brain controls memory. There are three main types of memory: working memory, short-term memory and long-term memory. Each of these types works in harmony. Any minor or major disturbances leads to memory loss. Typically, memory loss or decline is associated with age. However, the memory loss among college students is prevalent, influenced by external factors such as alcohol abuse, sleep deprivation, nutritional factors, and mobile phones. This paper addresses the factors influencing memory loss in college students and the role of educators to inform the collegiate population of these issues.
