Description
From 1972 to 1978, my painting involved squeezing paint tubes in horizontal lines directly on the canvas to create large television images. This was before large screen TVs were ubiquitous, and when the electronic image was constructed from horizontal 525 signals. I created about 80 paintings of popular subjects in this manner when it occurred to me that Christ’s second coming could be transmitted around the globe via satellite, thus fulfilling the promise that every person (eye) shall be able to witness it.
