Description
Second SDA church in Battle Creek (on left). 8,73m x 12,8m. Erected in 1857. On Van Buren St. near the corner of Cass St. 28 x 42. Cost $881,39. In this church much of the organization of the General Conference was completed. The name of the denomination was chosen here, Oct. 1, 1860. Gen. Conf. organized here on Thursday, May 21, 1863. 20 delegates from 6 of the 7 conferences then in existence.
