Final Manuscript Preparation Guidelines for Journal of Adventist Studies
The editors of the Journal of Adventist Studies invite submissions of articles broadly dealing with the study of Adventism, including but not limited to Seventh-day Adventists, Millerites and other antecedents, and related groups. Articles may be written from diverse methodological perspectives, but the editors especially welcome submissions from the disciplines of History, Religious Studies, Anthropology, and Sociology. Articles should present a clear thesis statement supported by evidence and should demonstrate their relevance and significance to the field of Adventist Studies.
Article submissions should be sent to jas@andrews.edu and must meet the following guidelines:
- 5,000–12,000 words, including footnotes
- Double-spaced text
- The Chicago Manual of Style, 18th edition, using footnotes only; no parenthetical citations
- Microsoft Word file format: .doc or .docx
- Abstract of no more than 150 words
