Navigating the New Intellectual Property (IP) Policy

Abstract

Intellectual property protection is always a concern for all stakeholders at institutions of higher education, including students, faculty and administrators. Based on these concerns, through benchmarking with other institutions and from conversations with multiple faculty and staff advisory bodies, a new IP policy was approved by the Board of Trustees earlier this year. Navigating this new IP policy can seem daunting. During this presentation, we will provide an overview of the policy and explain how faculty can navigate it safely in their research, classroom, innovative and entrepreneurial activities.
