Abstract

Culture is a strong part of people's lives. It influences their views, their values, their humor, their hopes, their loyalties, and their worries and fears. In order to build communities that are powerful enough to attain significant change, we need large numbers of people working together. Discover how we work with people to develop relationships and collaboratively create communities infused and energized through deliberate thought to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Biography

Jerry Price serves as Manager, Diversity, and Inclusion for Spectrum Health Lakeland. In this role, he is responsible for the creation and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion plans to ensure healthcare is affordable, accessible, and exceptional. Jerry is also the founder of The MLH Group, a grassroots organization dedicated to community transformation through leadership training, and neighborhood redevelopment. Over, 25 years of community change efforts, he is also a nationally certified facilitator of Crucial Conversations and RX Racial Healing Circles.
