Pastor Nelu Burcea began his evangelistic work in Romania in 1995, initially serving as a missionary and later as a Bible worker. He was ordained as a pastor in 2004 after completing his theological studies at the Adventist Theological Institute in Cernica, with a focus on pastoral ministry. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics with an emphasis on management and business ethics, a master’s degree in business development management, and a degree in theology. He has also pursued postgraduate studies in media and marketing, as well as in diplomatic protocol and communication. As a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Divinity School, Pastor Burcea’s research explored the influence of mass media on religious freedom.Since 2015, he has served as an associate director of the Public Affairs and Religious Liberty Department at the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
