Description

The practice of integrating faith and learning goes way back to the times of the Bible as Jesus was the Master Teacher, and persists to our present days through our faith in Him. How are teachers pertaining to their faith? How are they integrating it in different classroom settings? Are they facing challenges in the implementation of this practice? This study, through a qualitative approach, aimed at answering the questions raised and resulted in that integrating faith in learning is a challenge in classrooms with Non-Christians, in classrooms with secular mindsets, and classrooms with English as second language. However, teachers are still able to adapt because of the acceptance and respect of religions and the openness of some students. They are doing that through different teaching strategies that include some or all of the following: prayer, devotions, Bible texts, reflections, personal experiences, and value-oriented discussions.
