Proposal for Presentation

The Walla Walla University School of Education and Psychology recently opted to build an in-house final practical examination for teacher candidates that allows us to highlight some of our key values in teacher preparation. In this short presentation we highlight three individual components of our practice: 1) ambitious teaching through integration of two or more content areas in unit planning; 2) inclusive teaching through identifying and demonstrating planning that intentionally meets individual needs; and 3) engaging candidates in reflective practice that looks beyond assessment completion to planned professional development in the initial years of teaching.
