Proposal for Presentation

Homework has been a highly debated topic for many decades and continues to be a controversial issue. Parents, teachers, and, of course, students all have varying stances and reasons on this issue on whether or not giving students additional work outside of school hours can reap increase learning retention and higher grades. Both sides of this issue make valid points on why homework, or the absence of it, should be a societal norm. Pro-homework advocates state that students have higher grades and interact better during in-class discussion. Advocates against homework argue that children can't experience childhood to its fullest; plus, children have already spent a third of their day in the classroom. This poster will compare and contrast the different views of the effects homework can have on school's system, and even a whole country's success in the field of education.
