Acknowledgments
Gunnar is a Professor of Engineering at Andrews University. He has taught classes at Andrews University from 1995-1999, 2003-2005, and from 2008 to present. He currently teaches ENGR120, ENGR185, ENGR225, ENGR275, ENGR325, and ENGR391. Gunnar received his BSE in Electrical Engineering from Walla Walla College in 1989, his MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1994 and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 2004. His research focus is biomedical imaging using near infrared light. He cofounded Luminetx Inc, to commercialize the Veinviewer™ prototype he designed and constructed as a part of his PhD requirements. Gunnar is married to Linda and has three adult sons. For recreation he enjoys cross country skiing, biking, kayaking, and baking an occasional pastry. He is involved in serving, both in his local church and in his community.
