Proposal for Presentation
The presentation will focus on writing and vocabulary acquisition for Arabic-Speaking students in lower levels of language proficiency. A number of the common challenges students in higher education face while learning new vocabulary in ESL classes will be addressed. Examples of multiple learning strategies students normally apply in their learning of new vocabulary will be given. Suggestions to help ESL teachers address these challenges and help students overcome them will also be included.
