This study examines perceptions of faculty and students at Andrews University on ethics in academic writing help for international students. Ninety-five students and 64 faculty responded to an online survey consisting of 17 different scenarios in which a second language student utilizes help from different sources, determining whether those scenarios are ethical, using a 5-point Likert scale. No statistically significant difference was found among different groups across schools, but significant differences were found in the perceptions held by faculty and students on several items. Recurrent themes in the qualitative comments are also presented.
