The April 2024 “PNG for Christ” campaign led to over 170,000 baptisms, driven by decentralised small groups, cultural dynamics like wantok and big man leadership, and grassroots mobilisation. Research identified both contextual and potentially transferable factors for fostering church growth through decentralised worship and member-led movement building.
