Description

Wei-Xing Shi earned his PhD from the School of Medicine at Yale University. Following a postdoctoral fellowship at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University, Wei-Xing Shi returned to Yale, serving as an Assistant Professor and later as an Associate Professor.

In 2007, Wei-Xing Shi joined Loma Linda University, where he has since held the position of Full Professor in both the Schools of Pharmacy and Medicine.

Wei-Xing Shi’s research primarily focuses on the neurobiology and pharmacology of brain disorders, with a particular emphasis on those related to the central dopamine system. His research has been supported by grants from various federal and private agencies.

He is a recipient of the NARSAD Young Investigator Award (two-time), the NARSAD Independent Investigator Award, the NIMH FIRST Award, and the Scottish Rite Schizophrenia Research Award.
