Description

Dr. Joel Luc Raveloharimisy is an Associate Professor and has been the Director of the Masters of Science in Community and International Development Program in the School of Social & Behavioral Sciences at Andrews University since 2011. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University, Spokane, Washington, and a Ph.D. degree in Political Science with an emphasis on Comparative Politics and American Politics. His works contribute to the literature and the fields of advocacy; humanitarian actions; community and international development; women, political leadership and empowerment; innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship; formal and informal institutions interactions; and spirituality and education. In 2001, he started Actions for Madagascar with the goal of promoting positive and sustainable changes in Madagascar by empowering youth and women through different projects such as education promotion and advocacy, rural development technical assistance, entrepreneurship, and innovative health promotion.
