Effectiveness of educational intervention on diabetic knowledge, self-efficacy and HbAlc levels on Kenyan adults with T2DM

Type II diabetes mellitus is increasingly causing death in Kenya. This project aimed at providing structured diabetes education intervention to increase diabetes knowledge, self-efficacy, and reduce HbA1c levels for patients in Kenya. 143 participants were recruited in a controlled non randomized experimental design. The intervention was effective by significantly reducing HbA1c and increasing self-efficacy.
