Description

Type II diabetes mellitus is increasingly causing death in Kenya. This project aimed at providing structured diabetes education intervention to increase diabetes knowledge, self-efficacy, and reduce HbA1c levels for patients in Kenya. 143 participants were recruited in a controlled non randomized experimental design. The intervention was effective by significantly reducing HbA1c and increasing self-efficacy.
