Breast cancer ranks among the leading causes of mortality among women in the USA. The screening rate among African Women (AAW) is low. This study investigated the perceived barriers to breast cancer screening among AAW using semi-structured interviews. The barriers included knowledge deficit, fear of mammograms, and breast cancer diagnosis.
