Description:

Damage shows a single wire base (approximately 2 cm. diameter); this is wrapped or coated with a material that is now white and crumbly, and made into a round bangle. Two (two five perhaps) wires are wound around body makin a spiral. Fastening appears to have center base wire overlap the others in 5 turns to complete the bangle. The body of the bangle becomes gradually narrower towards the fastening. The largest of the fastening turns measures ca. 0.75 cm. in diameter. While the opposite side of the bangle measures ca. 0.95 cm. in diameter. This bangle is probably a larger and more illustrative model for many others - in bronze with striations imitating wire twists, in glass with ridges imitating same, in silver and bronze more delicately made with only single wire.
