Charles C. Stoddard is a banker, entrepreneur, philanthropist, community leader and Christian. Charles was born in Lansing, Michigan in 1945. At the age of 16, he started working as a teller for his father at the Michigan National Bank.

Since then, Stoddard has served in many capacities within the banking industry. He founded the Grand Bank in Grand Rapids in 1987, and was its CEO until it merged with Macatawa Bank in 2002.

Stoddard was also the co-founder of the Lake Michigan Academy, a K-12 school in Grand Rapids for children with learning disabilities. In 2004 he started the Grand

Angels in Grand Rapids, a private equity group which invests in start up businesses in West Michigan.

Charles C. Stoddard is a man of faith. He is life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as Bishop and then as Stake President of Grand Rapids. He has been the Mission President of Santa Rosa California Mission for three years.

Stoddard has a heart for community service. He has served his community as president of the rotary club, founding member of the Economic Club (Grand Rapids), and in countless other ways.

Charles Stoddard is married Jan, his wife of 52 years. They have four children and six grandchildren. His hobbies include golf, travel, and tennis.
