Proposal for Presentation

Studies show that students learn better when they see themselves in the classroom. Our classroom demographics are changing; our classrooms are becoming more diverse, with more cultures being represented. Every student should be able to make text-to-self connections while reading. How do we ensure this goal is reached? What are good examples of representative literature? This poster will explore the benefits of diverse literature for emergent readers.
