Proposal for Presentation

Educators and researchers have extensively debated the best way to stimulate improvement among failing public schools. Ideas ranging from school reform to school closures may be proposed as ways to manage unsuccessful public schools. Some say that, using the right methods, any school may be turned around, and furthermore that no struggling school should be abandoned. Others maintain that what is best for students and most feasible economically is student reenrollment in higher achieving schools. This poster will examine the definition of failing school turnaround and the associated spectrum of ideology.
