Proposal for Presentation

Sandyhook, Stoneman Douglas, and Columbine; these are some of the largest school shootings that have happened in the United States to this day. Of those school shootings all have happened within the last twenty-five years. Everyone who hears of these stories is infuriated and distraught to hear of the innocent lives that have been taken. Some believe that educators should be allowed to carry guns in a school setting to possibly be able to put a halt to potential school shootings. While others believe that educators arming themselves could potentially be more of a threat to students' wellbeing. As of now the United States is split down the middle with about 25 states allowing teachers to conceal carry on their school campus. This poster presentation will aim to further explore the ideas of if educators should be allowed to be armed in a school setting or if arming teachers could be more harm than good.
